About Us
Our Founding
Actively United is part of the Youth Leadership Broward program. We are a group of selected high schoolers who were given an assignment to inflict change in our community based on our topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our goal is to take this project and broaden its horizons to other local schools and organizations to make a heavy impact in the lives of Broward County students.
Our Organization
We meet weekly in person at Poke I Love You in order to discuss upcoming events, individual weekly assignments, and future sports activities to plan within our community. Through our weekly meetings, we have built our instagram page, this webpage, our sports equipment drive, our give back nights, and our local business connections.
Our Passion
Each of us has a love for sports, mentoring kids, and becoming a part of something greater than our selves. Actively United has become more than an assignment for us. We aim to create a safe and stress free environment in order to share our passion for this organization with our community.

Actively United, for me, is a way to give younger kids the opportunity to find friends with similar athletic interests and have the resources to strengthen their skills. By experiencing the inaccessibility to regular facilities or a welcoming sports environment, I understand how important it is for us to encourage and teach younger players and inspire them through a sport they love.

I'm driven by a strong passion for community service, and I firmly believe in providing equal opportunities for everyone to pursue their passions, whether it's basketball, football, or any other interest.
